Virtual Private Banking Specialist

Morgan Stanley is a global financial services firm, providing a broad range of services through three primary business segments: Institutional Securities, Global Wealth Management, and Asset Management. The Virtual Private Banking Specialist (VPBS) will join our Private Banking Group, offering support to Financial Advisors (FAs) and their clients. This role involves delivering financial advice and support for a range of banking and lending products, building strong relationships with FAs, and contributing to business development efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as a resource for Financial Advisors (FAs) and branch staff, addressing inquiries or referring complex issues to the appropriate experts.
Financial Recommendations: Independently make recommendations on banking and lending products to FAs, ensuring they align with client needs.
Client & FA Support: Provide high-quality banking and lending advice to clients in collaboration with FAs.
Partnership with Private Bankers: Support assigned Private Bankers, offering both direct and backup assistance as needed to drive banking opportunities.
Marketing Campaigns: Assist in developing marketing initiatives, making outbound calls to FAs to generate interest and drive business.
Revenue & Client Satisfaction Goals: Work within established processes to meet revenue targets and maintain high levels of client and FA satisfaction.
Pipeline Management: Develop and maintain a robust marketing pipeline, tracking progress and ensuring goals are met.
Account Onboarding: Collect necessary client information to streamline the account opening process and facilitate loan applications.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with region managers, product teams, and other stakeholders to support business development and service delivery.
Product Feedback: Provide feedback to product managers to improve FA productivity and product offerings.
Product Updates: Communicate new product features and policy changes to FAs and branch staff.

Experience & Qualifications:

5+ years of experience with an investment, commercial, or private bank.
At least 4 years of client service, business development, and/or sales desk experience.
Strong understanding of diverse client financial needs and an ability to cater to high-net-worth individuals.
Bachelor's degree preferred, or relevant work experience.

Skills & Abilities:

Comprehensive Product Knowledge: Familiarity with a broad range of banking and lending products, including deposit accounts, credit cards, mortgages, home equity lines of credit, securities-based loans, and tailored lending solutions for high-net-worth clients.
Strong Communication Skills: Ability to clearly communicate verbally and in writing, building relationships with clients and FAs.
Relationship Building: Proven ability to foster strong client relationships, offering exceptional service to meet business development goals.
Analytical Skills: Ability to understand and address the financial needs of retail brokerage clients.
Professionalism: Maintain poise and professionalism, especially when dealing with high-pressure or challenging situations.
Technical Proficiency: Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Teamwork & Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, collaborating across functions.
Leadership: Demonstrate initiative and leadership in driving results, even in high-pressure situations.

Compensation & Benefits:

The expected base salary for this position will range from $80,000 to $125,000 per year, depending on experience. This base pay is only one component of a comprehensive compensation package, which may include commissions, incentive compensation, bonuses, and additional benefits such as healthcare, retirement plans, and employee development programs.
