VP / Director, Investment Banking, Mining

TD Bank Group is seeking a highly experienced and driven VP/Director to join their Mining Investment Banking team in London. This position offers the opportunity to work with senior leadership and develop key client relationships across the UK and Europe, primarily focusing on M&A within the Metals & Mining sector. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in investment banking, with strong industry expertise and the ability to originate and execute high-impact transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the Mining sector coverage for TD Securities across the UK and Europe, managing existing client relationships and developing new business opportunities, with a focus on M&A.
Work closely with senior leadership to drive strategic growth, foster key client relationships, and create revenue generation plans across multiple product areas.
Develop transaction ideas and present them effectively at the senior client level.
Manage client interactions across various levels, including CEOs, CFOs, and other senior decision-makers.
Produce high-quality presentations, offering memorandums, and client pitches tailored to the Metals & Mining sector.
Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to junior team members, enabling them to achieve both department objectives and their full potential.

Qualifications:

Undergraduate or graduate degree in a relevant field with exceptional academic qualifications.
7+ years of experience in investment banking, with significant exposure to Metals & Mining.
Proven success in originating and executing M&A transactions, especially within the Mining sector.
Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly.
A high degree of initiative, leadership, and team focus.
Ability to build trust-based relationships with clients and partners and work collaboratively within a global team.
