Goldman Sachs Private Bank offers competitive borrowing and cash management solutions through Goldman Sachs Bank USA, seamlessly integrated with clients' wealth management strategies. We partner with Private Wealth Advisors (PWAs) to provide customized lending solutions, including new loans, refinancing, and liability management, for a variety of asset classes—from marketable securities and real estate to private assets like fine art and aviation. All team members are employees of Goldman Sachs Bank USA.

Job Summary & Responsibilities

As a Regional Lending Junior Advisor at Goldman Sachs, you will play a key role in driving growth within the Private Bank’s lending business. You will work closely with PWM coverage teams to identify new lending opportunities and advise clients on tailored solutions. Your responsibilities will include:

Building Internal Relationships: Foster strong connections with internal teams to drive lending activity and ensure seamless collaboration.
Lending Growth: Identify and implement strategies for lending growth within the PWM coverage teams.
Client Advisory: Provide guidance on tailored lending solutions to clients and contribute to Goldman Sachs Private Bank’s reputation for excellence in execution.
Client and Prospect Meetings: Attend meetings with clients and PWAs to raise awareness of Private Bank lending solutions and build lasting relationships.
Loan Proposal Structuring: Act as the first line of control for new opportunities, pre-screening lending requests and structuring creative loan proposals.
Collaboration with Underwriting: Work closely with the US Underwriting team on credit memos, portfolio management, and risk analysis.
Default Management: Lead efforts to navigate solutions for initial default situations or at-risk accounts within your portfolio.
Compliance and Communication: Ensure adherence to credit procedures and maintain strong communication with clients and their PWAs.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in UHNW lending origination and credit analysis, ideally in a private bank or commercial banking setting.
Extensive experience with underwriting asset classes such as securities-based loans, structured lending, and private equity.
Ability to structure sophisticated, creative lending solutions to meet clients’ financial objectives.
Strong analytical, oral, and written communication skills.
Detail-oriented with a passion for continued growth in a dynamic business environment.
Proven ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Formal credit training preferred.
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.

Required Licensing

Series 7, 63, and SIE licenses (must be obtained within 4 months of joining).

Compensation

The expected base salary for this role in New York is between $115,000 and $270,000, with additional eligibility for a discretionary bonus based on performance at the fiscal year-end.
