Bank Sales Support Specialist (Commercial Loan Processor/Assistant)

Role Overview:
The Bank Sales Support Specialist, also known as a Commercial Loan Processor/Assistant, plays a crucial role in partnering with Commercial and Business Banking groups to support the sales, servicing, and management of client relationships and loan portfolios. This position involves providing comprehensive support to lenders, ensuring accurate loan documentation, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Support: Assist lenders by identifying sales and cross-sell opportunities, coordinating presentation materials, scheduling sales calls, maintaining prospect lists, and participating in joint client calls as needed.
Loan Documentation: Originate, process, and verify the accuracy of loan documentation for closings, including entering financial information into the loan system and ensuring all necessary documents are included prior to closing.
Credit Servicing: Resolve documentation exceptions, maintain service levels, update financial statements, prepare files for portfolio reviews, and track maturing lines/loans and service levels.
Past Due Monitoring: Communicate, report, and follow up on past-due accounts within the portfolio to ensure they remain current, maintaining regular customer contact.
Customer Service: Coordinate the opening of deposit and other banking services with branch partners, handle customer requests for information, and resolve issues promptly.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree or High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years’ experience in sales, customer service, operations, or commercial lending.
Experience: Experience in commercial loan processing or commercial lending support is preferred.
Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and other office support systems and programs.
Attributes: Self-motivated, strong relationship-building skills, and a proven track record of success in previous roles.
