Banking Operations Lead

Role Overview:
The Banking Operations Lead is responsible for overseeing daily operations within the Deposit Operations department. Key responsibilities include managing check fraud and check collections, processing electronic check adjustments, and handling Deposit Account Control Agreements. This role involves case intake, investigation, follow-up, and resolution, serving as a liaison between the department and both internal and external clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Check Fraud and Collections: Manage breach of warranty and without entry claims, ensuring accurate classification and processing of check fraud types.
Electronic Check Adjustments: Process check adjustment requests via systems such as The Clearing House and The Federal Reserve systems.
Deposit Account Control Agreements: Oversee activities related to these agreements, ensuring compliance and proper documentation.
Case Management: Utilize banking systems to review account and transaction histories, locate check copies, research deposits, and review affidavits.
Client Service: Provide high-quality customer service by responding to inquiries and offering accurate information to both internal and external clients.
Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of colleagues, reviewing and approving their work, and supporting department objectives.
Decision Making: Exercise sound judgment within the guidelines of bank policies, department procedures, and check negotiability requirements.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years in branch or back-office banking operations.
Technical Skills: Proficiency with Outlook and Microsoft Office Applications.
Knowledge: Understanding of Reg CC, Reg J, UCC, and experience with systems such as IBS Insight, Vsoft, Synergy, Salesforce, and FedLine systems.
Skills: Strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, excellent oral and written communication skills, and the capacity to analyze complex information.

Compensation:
Starting base salary ranges from $22.27 to $33.43 per hour. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
