FIG M&A Analyst (1-2) – Boutique Investment Bank (German Speaker Required)

We are a boutique investment bank specializing in Financial Institutions Group (FIG) mergers and acquisitions. With a strong focus on delivering bespoke advisory services, we work closely with banks, insurers, asset managers, and other financial institutions across Europe. We are seeking a motivated M&A Analyst (1-2 years of experience) with German language skills to join our dynamic London-based team.

Role Overview
As an M&A Analyst, you will support the execution of mergers, acquisitions, and strategic advisory mandates within the FIG sector. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and analytical professional to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct in-depth financial analysis, valuation, and modeling to support M&A transactions and strategic advisory engagements.
Prepare high-quality pitch books, client presentations, and transaction documentation.
Perform detailed market research and analysis of the FIG sector, identifying trends and opportunities.
Assist in managing due diligence processes and coordination with clients, advisors, and other stakeholders.
Provide analytical support throughout the deal lifecycle, from origination to execution.
Collaborate with senior team members to deliver tailored advice to clients.

Requirements:

1-2 years of experience in investment banking, M&A, or corporate finance, preferably within the FIG sector.
Strong academic background in Finance, Economics, or a related field; advanced qualifications such as CFA are advantageous.
Exceptional financial modeling and valuation skills, with attention to detail.
Fluency in German (spoken and written) is essential.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
A proactive mindset with the ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
Knowledge of FIG industry trends and market dynamics is highly desirable.
