Private Markets Tax Manager
We are a leading global financial institution specializing in private markets, offering investment solutions across private equity, infrastructure, real estate, and credit. Our Tax team plays a critical role in ensuring compliance and optimizing tax strategies for complex investment structures. We are seeking a highly skilled Private Markets Tax Manager to join our London office and provide expert tax advice to support our private markets activities.
Role Overview
As a Private Markets Tax Manager, you will oversee tax compliance, reporting, and advisory for our private markets investments. This role requires a deep understanding of tax regulations and investment structures, offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-profile transactions in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage tax compliance and reporting processes for private markets investments, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Provide expert tax advisory support for private equity, real estate, infrastructure, and credit transactions.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external advisors to develop and implement tax-efficient investment structures.
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the organization’s private markets activities.
- Review tax filings, returns, and documentation to ensure compliance across jurisdictions.
- Support the structuring of new funds and investments, optimizing tax outcomes for investors and the business.
- Deliver training and guidance to internal teams on tax-related matters and regulatory developments.
Requirements:
- Strong academic background in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field; professional qualifications such as ACA, CTA, or ACCA are essential.
- Significant experience in tax management, preferably within private markets or financial services.
- In-depth knowledge of UK and international tax regulations affecting private equity, infrastructure, real estate, and credit investments.
- Proven ability to manage complex tax projects and transactions across multiple jurisdictions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a proactive approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
