Senior Accounting Controller

Our London office is seeking an experienced Senior Accounting Controller to lead critical financial functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational excellence in our accounting practices.

Role Overview
As a Senior Accounting Controller, you will oversee core accounting operations, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance. This senior role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a strong accounting background and leadership experience in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with IFRS and other applicable standards.
Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, ensuring precision and efficiency.
Monitor and ensure compliance with all regulatory and statutory reporting requirements.
Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior management on accounting policies and financial processes.
Coordinate with internal and external auditors, facilitating smooth and effective audits.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of accounting operations.
Mentor and guide a team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and development.
Stay abreast of changes in accounting standards and regulatory requirements, ensuring the organization remains compliant.

Requirements:

Extensive experience in accounting or financial control within the financial services industry.
Strong knowledge of IFRS and regulatory reporting requirements.
Proven track record of managing complex accounting processes and leading teams.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
Professional accounting qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA are essential.
A proactive and results-driven mindset, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
