Technology Auditor – Compliance, AFC, Central Functions

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Technology Auditor to join our Internal Audit team. This role focuses on evaluating the design and effectiveness of controls across Compliance, Anti-Financial Crime (AFC), and Central Functions, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.

About the Role:
As a Technology Auditor, you will play a key role in assessing risks, controls, and governance processes related to technology systems and applications within Compliance, AFC, and Central Functions. You will provide insights and recommendations to strengthen internal controls and enhance operational efficiency, collaborating with stakeholders to drive improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and execute audits of technology systems supporting Compliance, AFC, and Central Functions, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies
Assess the effectiveness of IT controls and identify potential risks or deficiencies in system design and implementation
Analyze data and systems to evaluate the integrity, security, and efficiency of processes supporting compliance and anti-financial crime activities
Prepare detailed audit reports, summarizing findings and recommending actionable improvements to management
Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to understand operational processes and identify control enhancements
Monitor remediation activities to ensure timely and effective resolution of identified issues
Stay updated on emerging risks, regulatory changes, and industry trends to inform audit strategies and practices
Contribute to the development and improvement of audit methodologies, tools, and processes
Provide support for special projects and advisory engagements related to technology risk and compliance

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Finance, Business, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CISA, CISSP, CIA) preferred
3+ years of experience in IT audit, internal audit, or related fields, preferably within financial services or compliance functions
Strong understanding of IT risk management, control frameworks, and regulatory requirements (e.g., SOX, GDPR)
Proven ability to evaluate IT controls, systems, and processes in a dynamic and complex environment
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented mindset
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively present findings to stakeholders at all levels
Proficiency in audit tools, data analysis software, and IT systems
Knowledge of compliance, AFC, and central functions within financial services is a plus
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
