Origination & Advisory – Banker: Fintech (Associate/Vice President)

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Associate/Vice President to join our Origination & Advisory team, specializing in the Fintech sector. This role offers the opportunity to work with innovative companies, drive transformative transactions, and provide strategic financial advisory services in a fast-evolving industry.

About the Role:
As a Fintech Banker, you will play a pivotal role in originating and executing transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, and strategic advisory engagements. You will work closely with clients to identify opportunities, provide insights into market trends, and deliver tailored financial solutions that address their unique needs. This role is ideal for professionals with a passion for the fintech industry and a proven track record in investment banking.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the origination and execution of transactions, including M&A, equity, and debt capital markets deals for fintech clients
Develop and maintain strong relationships with fintech companies, investors, and other key stakeholders
Conduct detailed financial modeling, valuation analysis, and scenario planning to support transaction recommendations
Create and present high-quality client materials, including pitch books, presentations, and investment memoranda
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage due diligence processes and ensure smooth deal execution
Monitor fintech industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies to identify new opportunities
Provide strategic insights and financial advice to clients, helping them navigate complex market conditions
Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture
Represent the firm at industry events and forums, strengthening the organization’s presence in the fintech space

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; MBA or CFA is preferred
3-7 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or corporate finance, with a focus on fintech or technology sectors
Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with proficiency in Excel and financial software tools
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas effectively to clients and stakeholders
Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Deep understanding of fintech industry dynamics, competitive landscape, and regulatory considerations
Strong interpersonal skills and a client-focused mindset, with the ability to build and maintain long-term relationships
Experience in leading transaction processes and working collaboratively with diverse teams
