Origination & Advisory – Banker: Technology (Associate)

We are seeking a highly motivated Associate to join our Origination & Advisory team, focusing on the Technology sector. This role offers the opportunity to work with some of the most innovative companies, providing strategic financial advice and supporting transformative transactions in a fast-evolving industry.

About the Role:
As an Associate on our Technology team, you will play a critical role in originating and executing deals, including mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, and strategic advisory engagements. Working alongside senior bankers, you will develop financial models, conduct industry research, and provide insights to help clients achieve their strategic objectives. This position is ideal for a driven professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about the technology sector.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the origination and execution of transactions within the Technology sector, including M&A, equity, and debt financing
Conduct detailed financial modeling, valuation analysis, and sensitivity testing to assess transaction opportunities
Perform in-depth industry research and competitive analysis to identify trends and inform client strategies
Prepare high-quality client presentations, pitch books, and other transaction materials
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, compliance, and risk, to ensure smooth deal execution
Build and maintain relationships with technology clients, understanding their goals and providing tailored solutions
Assist in the due diligence process, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure thorough evaluation
Stay informed on market developments, regulatory changes, and emerging trends in the technology sector
Contribute to the development of innovative financial solutions and strategic recommendations for clients

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; MBA is a plus
2-4 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or corporate finance, with exposure to the Technology sector
Proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques (DCF, comparables, precedent transactions), and Excel
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information and present actionable insights
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing and delivering client presentations
Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, meeting tight deadlines with high attention to detail
Team-oriented mindset with strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to problem-solving
Passion for the technology sector and a deep understanding of industry dynamics and trends
