Workplace and Digital Financial Crimes Risk Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled Workplace and Digital Financial Crimes Risk Officer to join our team. This role is crucial in safeguarding the organization from potential financial crimes, with a focus on both workplace-related risks and digital channels.

About the Role:
As a Financial Crimes Risk Officer, you will be responsible for managing the risk associated with financial crimes across both physical workplace environments and digital platforms. You will play a key role in enhancing the company’s risk management framework, identifying potential threats, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations related to financial crimes. Your responsibilities will involve working across departments to design and implement effective risk mitigation strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the risk assessment process for financial crimes related to workplace operations and digital transactions
Develop and implement risk controls to safeguard against fraudulent activity across digital channels, including online banking, payments, and other digital services
Collaborate with compliance and legal teams to ensure adherence to regulations, including anti-money laundering (AML), sanctions, and fraud prevention protocols
Conduct regular reviews of existing policies and procedures to ensure their effectiveness and compliance with industry standards
Identify emerging financial crime threats and provide proactive solutions to mitigate risk
Work with internal stakeholders to raise awareness of financial crime risks and promote a culture of compliance
Manage investigations into suspicious activities, making recommendations for further action where necessary
Provide ongoing training to staff on risk management practices and regulatory requirements
Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and new technologies that impact financial crimes and risk management

Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in financial crimes risk management, financial services, or related fields
In-depth knowledge of risk management practices, anti-money laundering (AML), and financial crimes prevention
Experience with digital financial services, including online banking, mobile payments, and digital transaction platforms
Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex risk scenarios and develop actionable solutions
Solid understanding of regulatory frameworks, including OFAC, FATF, and other relevant financial crime regulations
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with senior leadership and stakeholders across the organization
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CAMS, CFE) are a plus
