Equity Research - Insurance Associate/VP

We are seeking an experienced Equity Research Associate/VP to join our dynamic team covering the insurance sector. In this role, you will conduct in-depth analysis, provide actionable insights, and contribute to research efforts that support institutional clients, traders, and portfolio managers.

About the Role:
As an Equity Research Associate/VP, you will be responsible for researching and analyzing companies in the insurance sector, delivering high-quality reports, and providing expert insights into industry trends, financial performance, and market dynamics. You will collaborate with senior analysts and clients to formulate investment recommendations and market strategies based on your analysis of financial statements, industry trends, and company fundamentals.

Your work will be essential to shaping investment decisions and helping clients navigate complex market conditions in the ever-evolving insurance space. Strong financial modeling skills, industry knowledge, and the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively are essential to success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct detailed financial analysis of insurance companies, including financial modeling, valuation analysis, and forecasting
Monitor and assess market trends, industry developments, and economic factors that impact the insurance sector
Prepare and present comprehensive reports and investment recommendations for institutional clients
Develop and maintain relationships with company management teams, industry experts, and other stakeholders
Provide timely and accurate updates on key industry events, earnings reports, and other relevant information
Work closely with senior analysts to develop investment strategies and market insights
Collaborate with internal teams, including sales and trading, to communicate research findings and investment ideas
Contribute to the creation of proprietary research content and market commentaries

Qualifications:

3-7 years of experience in equity research, investment banking, or a related field, with a focus on insurance or financial services
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related discipline (CFA, MBA, or similar qualifications a plus)
Strong financial modeling skills and proficiency in Excel, with the ability to analyze and forecast company financials
In-depth understanding of the insurance industry, including key drivers, regulations, and market trends
Ability to generate original insights and contribute to the development of market-moving research
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to senior management and institutional clients
Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Team-oriented, with the ability to collaborate effectively across various departments
