Internal Audit – Data Analytics – Vice President

We are seeking a highly skilled and results-driven Data Analytics Vice President to join our Internal Audit team. This leadership role will focus on leveraging advanced data analytics to enhance the effectiveness of our audit processes, identify emerging risks, and drive continuous improvement across the organization. You will work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure that data-driven insights support decision-making and regulatory compliance.

About the Role:
In this role, you will be responsible for leading the data analytics strategy within the Internal Audit department. You will design and implement innovative analytical techniques to assess risks, evaluate controls, and enhance audit quality. Your work will be instrumental in shaping audit strategies, identifying key trends, and improving risk management practices across various business lines. You will also play a key role in communicating insights to senior management, enabling them to make informed decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the development and implementation of data analytics strategies within the Internal Audit function
Utilize data analytics to assess audit risk, improve audit coverage, and enhance the quality and efficiency of audits
Design and execute advanced data analysis techniques, including statistical models, predictive analytics, and trend analysis, to evaluate risks and internal controls
Collaborate with audit teams to identify key risk areas and provide data-driven insights for improving audit processes
Develop and maintain automated tools and dashboards to support audit execution and reporting
Work closely with senior management and key stakeholders to present data-driven insights and recommendations
Drive continuous improvement in audit practices, leveraging technology and data analytics to enhance effectiveness and efficiency
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and internal policies through the use of analytics
Manage and mentor a team of data analysts, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration within the audit department
Stay abreast of the latest trends and developments in data analytics, and recommend new tools, technologies, and approaches for continuous improvement

What We’re Looking For:

Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in data analytics, internal audit, or a related field, with a strong focus on financial services
Proven expertise in using data analytics and advanced analytical techniques to support audit and risk management activities
Experience with data visualization tools, statistical modeling, and data management systems
Strong understanding of audit methodologies, risk management, and internal controls
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior leadership to implement data-driven solutions
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to identify trends and insights from complex data
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate data-driven findings to senior management
Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, data science, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CPA, CIA) are a plus
