Compliance Officer – Investment Bank Compliance – Fixed Income Sales & Trading – Rates and FX – Vice President

We are looking for a Compliance Officer to join our Investment Banking Compliance team. As a Vice President in this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the compliance framework within the Fixed Income Sales and Trading business, specifically covering Rates and FX products. You will collaborate with business leaders, risk management, and legal teams to ensure adherence to regulatory standards, internal policies, and industry best practices.

About the Role:
In this role, you will be at the forefront of managing and monitoring compliance for Fixed Income Sales and Trading operations, focusing on Rates and FX. You will provide expert advice to the trading desk, ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and help identify potential compliance risks. As part of a global team, you will play a key role in ensuring that the firm remains compliant with evolving regulatory requirements, especially in the rapidly changing markets for Rates and FX.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee compliance for Fixed Income Sales and Trading activities, with a focus on Rates and FX
Advise trading desks on compliance-related matters, including regulatory reporting, trading practices, and risk management
Ensure adherence to relevant regulations, including Dodd-Frank, MiFID II, and other applicable rules, across Rates and FX businesses
Monitor and review trading activity for compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures related to trading, sales, and risk management
Provide ongoing training to business units on regulatory changes, compliance best practices, and internal procedures
Work closely with legal, risk management, and other compliance teams to address emerging issues and regulatory changes
Conduct compliance reviews and risk assessments, escalating potential issues as necessary
Collaborate with regulators, auditors, and external parties during examinations and audits
Support the development of internal reports on compliance issues, risks, and trends for senior management
Act as a trusted advisor to the trading desk and business leaders, helping to navigate complex regulatory environments

What We’re Looking For:

Minimum of 7 years of experience in compliance, legal, or regulatory roles within financial services, with a focus on Fixed Income, Rates, or FX
Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, including Dodd-Frank, MiFID II, and other key financial regulations
Experience providing compliance oversight for Fixed Income and FX sales and trading desks
Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including trading, legal, and risk management
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of risk management practices and the ability to assess and mitigate compliance risks
Ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into actionable compliance solutions
Bachelor’s degree in finance, law, economics, or related field; advanced degrees or certifications are a plus
