Assistant Vice President – Americas Reconciliations Oversight

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented professional to join our team as the Assistant Vice President of Americas Reconciliations Oversight. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the reconciliation process across our Americas operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial reporting. As AVP, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive improvements in reconciliation processes and ensure alignment with industry best practices.

About the Role:
In this role, you will be responsible for managing the reconciliation functions for our Americas business, including oversight of daily, monthly, and quarterly reconciliation activities. You will work closely with internal teams, including operations, risk, finance, and technology, to ensure that all financial transactions are accurately reconciled and discrepancies are promptly resolved. You will also play a crucial role in identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce operational risk.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the Americas reconciliations process, overseeing daily, monthly, and quarterly reconciliations for multiple business units
Ensure that reconciliation activities are performed accurately and in compliance with regulatory requirements
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including operations, risk management, and finance teams, to resolve discrepancies and mitigate operational risks
Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to streamline reconciliation activities and enhance operational efficiency
Provide guidance and oversight to the reconciliation team, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
Develop and maintain reconciliation policies and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance across the organization
Monitor reconciliation performance metrics and reporting, identifying trends and providing insights to senior management
Work with technology teams to enhance reconciliation systems and tools, improving data accuracy and reconciliation timeliness
Ensure that all reconciliation issues are identified, escalated, and resolved in a timely manner
Assist in audits and regulatory inspections related to reconciliation processes

What We’re Looking For:

A minimum of 5 years of experience in reconciliation, finance operations, or a related field, with a focus on financial services or banking
Strong understanding of reconciliation processes, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements
Proven ability to lead and manage teams, driving improvements in operational efficiency and risk management
Experience with reconciliation systems, tools, and automation platforms
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of financial services regulations and industry best practices
