Associate – Internal Audit: Asset Management
We are seeking an experienced and driven Associate to join our Internal Audit team, specializing in Asset Management. In this role, you will support the evaluation of internal controls, risk management processes, and governance practices within the asset management function. Your work will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and help safeguard the integrity of our operations.
About the Role:
As an Associate in the Internal Audit team, you will assist in auditing the asset management division, evaluating key processes, and identifying risks. You will collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to assess controls, provide recommendations for improvements, and help ensure the firm’s risk management practices align with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct audits of asset management activities, including investment strategies, portfolio management, and regulatory compliance
- Evaluate the design and effectiveness of internal controls within the asset management function
- Assist in identifying operational, compliance, and financial risks within the asset management division
- Prepare detailed audit reports, presenting findings and recommendations to senior management
- Collaborate with business leaders to assess risks and ensure that effective controls are in place to mitigate them
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks affecting asset management operations
- Participate in the preparation of audit plans and risk assessments related to asset management functions
- Provide support in testing and evaluating the implementation of corrective actions for audit findings
- Communicate audit results and potential risks clearly and effectively to internal stakeholders
- Contribute to the development of audit strategies and methodologies to enhance risk management processes
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in internal audit, asset management, or related fields
- Strong understanding of asset management operations, investment strategies, and risk management practices
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards within asset management
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to assess and evaluate complex financial operations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present audit findings effectively
- Proficient in audit methodologies and tools
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with a high level of attention to detail
