Associate – Internal Audit: Enterprise Risk Management Assurance
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Associate to join our Internal Audit team, focusing on Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Assurance. In this role, you will assist in evaluating the effectiveness of the company’s risk management processes, internal controls, and governance frameworks. Your contributions will be critical in identifying key risks and ensuring that the organization adheres to best practices in risk management.
About the Role:
As an Associate in our Internal Audit team, you will collaborate with senior auditors to assess the company’s risk management activities. You will evaluate the adequacy of controls, identify potential risks, and provide insights to enhance the overall risk management framework. This role offers a great opportunity for professional development and exposure to various aspects of risk management across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in performing audits of enterprise risk management processes, evaluating the effectiveness of internal controls, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and industry standards
- Contribute to the development of audit plans and risk assessments, focusing on key areas of enterprise risk management
- Evaluate risk management processes to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and potential areas of improvement
- Assist in preparing audit reports, highlighting key findings, risks, and recommendations for senior management
- Support the preparation of management presentations, ensuring audit results and recommendations are clearly communicated
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address audit findings and assist in the development of corrective actions
- Stay informed of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks related to enterprise risk management
- Participate in various risk-related projects and initiatives, gaining exposure to a wide range of business operations and risk management practices
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, promoting awareness and adherence to risk management principles across the organization
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in internal audit, risk management, or a related field
- Strong understanding of risk management frameworks, internal controls, and audit processes
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to risk management and governance
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly and concisely
- Detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
- A proactive and collaborative approach to team work
- Knowledge of audit tools and software is a plus
