Internal Audit – Executive Reporting & Analysis Associate
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Associate to join our Internal Audit team in New York. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing executive-level reporting and analysis, supporting the audit function, and providing insights that contribute to the management of risk and compliance across the organization.
About the Role:
As an Associate in Internal Audit, you will play a key role in providing critical analysis and reporting to senior leadership. You will help monitor audit activities, track progress, and ensure that audit processes are aligned with company policies and regulatory standards. You will also be involved in preparing materials for board meetings and facilitating the efficient flow of audit information.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and deliver executive-level reports on audit findings, key risk metrics, and performance indicators
- Analyze audit data to identify emerging trends, risks, and operational inefficiencies
- Assist in the creation and review of audit reports, providing clear insights and actionable recommendations
- Support the tracking of audit projects, ensuring that issues are resolved in a timely manner
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant audit data and provide analytical support for audit projects
- Produce high-quality presentations and materials for senior management and regulatory reporting
- Ensure all audit processes comply with internal policies, external regulations, and industry best practices
- Monitor the status of audit engagements and help facilitate communication between audit teams and stakeholders
- Provide strategic insights and recommendations based on data analysis and audit outcomes
- Support ad-hoc internal audit projects and initiatives as required
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- 2-4 years of experience in internal audit, financial analysis, or risk management
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights
- Excellent communication skills, with experience preparing reports and presenting findings to senior leadership
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and audit management software
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of audit methodologies, risk management frameworks, and relevant regulations
- Professional certifications such as CPA, CIA, or CISA are a plus
