Internal Audit – Executive Reporting & Analysis Analyst
We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Analyst to join our Internal Audit team in New York. In this role, you will be responsible for executive reporting, analysis, and supporting the overall audit function by providing insights that help drive risk management and operational efficiency.
About the Role:
As an Analyst in Internal Audit, you will work closely with senior leadership to deliver accurate and insightful reporting and analysis on audit findings. You will also support internal audit projects, monitor audit performance, and help ensure that audit processes comply with company policies and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and deliver executive-level reports and presentations on audit findings and key risk metrics
- Analyze audit data to identify trends, potential risks, and areas for improvement
- Assist in the preparation of detailed audit reports, summaries, and recommendations for senior leadership
- Track and monitor the status of audit projects, ensuring timely completion and effective resolution of audit issues
- Collaborate with internal audit teams to gather relevant data and insights to support audits
- Provide clear and actionable recommendations based on audit findings and risk assessments
- Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across departments to ensure alignment on audit activities and objectives
- Assist in preparing materials for board meetings, regulatory reporting, and other internal and external communications
- Ensure adherence to all internal audit policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Participate in audits of various departments to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and compliance
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in internal audit, risk management, or a related area
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate audit findings to senior executives
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management abilities
- Experience with audit software, reporting tools, and Microsoft Excel
- A collaborative team player with the ability to work across functions and influence stakeholders
- Knowledge of industry regulations, risk management frameworks, and best practices in internal auditing
- Professional certifications such as CPA, CIA, or CISA are a plus
