Asia Credit Trader – Director

We are seeking a seasoned and highly skilled Asia Credit Trader to join our dynamic team in New York. In this role, you will be responsible for trading Asia-focused credit products, leveraging your expertise to generate alpha and manage risk within the fixed income market.

About the Role:
As an Asia Credit Trader, you will work closely with internal stakeholders to execute trades, manage risk, and drive the overall trading strategy for Asia credit products. You will be expected to take a proactive approach to market analysis, identify trading opportunities, and contribute to the development of innovative solutions in a rapidly evolving market.

Key Responsibilities:

Execute trading strategies for Asia-focused credit products, including sovereign, corporate, and structured credit
Monitor and analyze market trends, economic conditions, and credit fundamentals to identify trading opportunities
Collaborate with research and sales teams to develop actionable investment ideas and strategies
Manage risk across the Asia credit portfolio, ensuring compliance with risk limits and guidelines
Provide market insights and analysis to senior leadership, assisting with the development of overall trading strategies
Maintain strong relationships with institutional clients, sell-side traders, and counterparties
Contribute to the continuous enhancement of trading tools, systems, and strategies
Stay up to date on regulatory developments and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations

What We’re Looking For:

Extensive experience in trading Asia credit products, with a deep understanding of both sovereign and corporate credit markets
Strong expertise in credit analysis, pricing, and risk management techniques
Proven track record of generating alpha and managing a large portfolio of credit products
Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret market data and trends
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment
Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CFA) are a plus
Minimum of 7+ years of relevant trading experience in Asia credit markets
